William Alfredo Chay Canul studied a technical career (2012-2014) as an agricultural technician at the Centro de Bachillerato Tecnológico Agropecuario. In 2014 he participated in the agroecology course given by the Uyits Kaan Ecological Agriculture School in Maní, Yucatán, Mexico, where he received recognition as the most outstanding student of the generation. From 2015 to 2020 he studied a degree in Natural Resources Management at the Marist University of Merida (Mexico), in 2019 he was selected and received a scholarship to participate in the Latin American Academy of Resilience of Food Systems (ALLSA) in Cusco, Peru. In 2022 he participated in the VI international course on agroecology taught by the Latin American Scientific Society of Agroecology. In 2021, he started as a collaborator in Operation Blessing Mexico, coordinating the community garden program in southern Mexico (Yucatan and Chiapas). He is currently studying for an international diploma in agroecology for sustainability at the Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro (Mexico).
